BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Dec. 8, 2011) – The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today they have launched a new Facebook campaign in support of St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services in Trumbull, Conn.
The Sound Tigers will donate $1 for every who person “likes” the Official Sound Tigers Fan Site on Facebook from now through the end of the 2011-12 season. If the Sound Tigers reach 10,000 “likes” before April 6, 2012, every person who has liked the page will get a free ticket to the Sound Tigers game that night against the Syracuse Crunch. Fans can visit facebook.com/soundtigers or click here.
“This Facebook campaign is an extension of our commitment to working with St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services,” said Sound Tigers President Howard Saffan. “All it takes is a simple click of the mouse to join us in our support of a great organization in our community.”
The Sound Tigers announced their partnership with St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services earlier this year, which has included a team visit to the Feroleto Children’s Development Center in Trumbull and an on-ice session with players and children at Webster Bank Arena. The team’s work with St. Vincent’s is part of Paws For A Cause, the Sound Tigers charitable arm established earlier this season.
“The Facebook contest should be a lot of fun,” added Deborah Cox, Director of Development at St. Vincent’s Special Needs. “I hope Fairfield County really rallies around the team and our cause, and people encourage all their friends to “like” the fan page.”
The Sound Tigers have also held in-game raffles and contests this season benefitting St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services. The team plans to host various events throughout the remainder of the season to raise money for the center.
Be sure to follow the Sound Tigers on Twitter and, more importantly, “like” the Sound Tigers on Facebook in support of St. Vincent’s Special Needs Center. For more information, call the Sound Tigers at (203) 345-2300 or e-mail email@example.com.
