Islanders Send Quine to Bridgeport for Conditioning

The New York Islanders announced today forward Alan Quine has been loaned to the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Quine, 24, played 61 games with the Islanders last season and recorded 18 points (five goals, 13 assists) after spending two games with the club during the 2015-16 regular season. The fifth-year pro also played 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Islanders in 2016 and collected five points (one goal, four assists), including the overtime-winning goal in Game 5 against the Florida Panthers on April 23, 2016.

In addition, the Windsor, Ontario native has played 195 AHL games with the Sound Tigers and Grand Rapid Griffins. He has registered 137 points (50 goals, 87 assists) during that span and was named to the 2016 AHL All-Star Game in Syracuse, N.Y. Quine led the Sound Tigers with a career-high 38 assists and 61 points in 2014-15. He is currently seventh on the team's all-time points list (136) and ninth on the club's all-time goal-scoring list (50). 

Prior to turning pro, Quine played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Kingston Frontenacs, Peterborough Petes and Belleville Bulls. The 6'0, 196-proud forward amassed 218 points (90 goals, 128 assists) in 252 games.

Quine was selected by the Islanders in the sixth round (166th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.
