ISLANDERS SIGN DAVID ULLSTROM

BRIDGEPORT - The New York Islanders have agreed to terms on a three-year entry-level contract with 2008 draft pick David Ullstrom.

Ullstrom spent last season playing for HV71 Jonkoping of the Swedish Elite League, where he tallied five goals and 11 assists for 16 points in 47 games.

The 6-foot-3, 200 pound center was the Islanders' fourth round selection (no. 102 overall) of the 2008 Entry Draft. Ullstrom won a silver medal with Team Sweden at the 2009 World Junior Championships in Ottawa. In six games, he scored two goals and added two assists.
