The Sound Tigers All-Time Fantasy Team is nearly complete. On Monday, we revealed the selections for the top forwards in team history, followed yesterday by the best defensemen to patrol the blue line at the Arena at Harbor Yard. Before we go into today's votes for the best fighter, let's take a look back at who's made the team thus far.

Forwards: Jeff Hamilton - Trent Hunter - Jeff Tambellini

Defensemen: Bruno Gervais - Mark Wotton

Best Fighter: _______________

Best Goalie: ________________

Today, we take a look at the best fighter in Sound Tigers history. While the role isn't the most glamorous and doesn't get the most recognition, sometimes a big hit or a fight can change the entire complexion of a game. If you've followed the first two installments of the Sound Tigers All-Time Fantasy Team, you know the drill - we go with the coaches picks first, and close it out with the fan vote.

Assistant Coach Matt Bertani

Best Fighter: Trevor Gillies

"He's only played 24 games for us here with the Sound Tigers, but he's been one of the top enforcers in the league for awhile. His presence on the ice for us last year was tremendous, and I don't think I've seen too many fights that Trevor Gillies was in that he didn't win."

Assistant Coach Pat Bingham

Best Fighter: Pascal Morency

"There's no question that Pascal Morency is one of the toughest guys to play for us over the last few years. But you go beyond his toughness and his ability to be physical, and you've got a guy who plays the game with a huge amount of passion, and is also one of the most well-liked guys by both his teammates and the fans."

Head Coach Jack Capuano

Best Fighter: Eric Godard

"How can you go wrong with Eric Godard? One of the biggest guys to play the game, and he's now playing in the NHL. He's got the most penalty minutes in Sound Tigers history by far. There are plenty of guys that could win this, but I think I'd have to go with Godard."

The Fan Vote

Best Fighter: Eric Godard

This was by far the most lopsided vote of all, with the vast majority of the fans selcting Eric Godard as the top fighter in Sound Tigers history. For evidence, see Godard's KO of the Hartford Wolf Pack's Mike Wilson during the 2002-03 season, or his fight from the 2006-07 campaign with the Calgary Flames when he took down current New York Ranger Derek Boogaard. Over 195 games with the Sound Tigers, Godard amassed 705 penalty minutes, whch is over 250 more than the next highest total (Graham Belak - 434). Godard has had a very successful career following his time with the Sound Tigers, including stints with the Islanders, Flames and the Penguins, as well as a Stanley Cup Championship with Pittsburgh during the 2008-09 season.

The Sound Tigers All-Time Fantasy Team now looks like this:

Forwards: Jeff Hamilton - Trent Hunter - Jeff Tambellini

Defensemen: Bruno Gervais - Mark Wotton

Fighter: Eric Godard
