The Sound Tigers All-Time Fantasy Team is near completion! We've tallied your votes for the top forwards, defensemen, and best fighter throughout the week. Today, we close things out with arguably the most important position on the ice - the goaltender.

Before we reveal the coaches' and fans' selections, here's how the team has shaped up thus far, as selected by the fans.

Forwards: Jeff Hamilton - Trent Hunter - Jeff Tambellini

Defensemen: Bruno Gervais - Mark Wotton

Best Fighter: Eric Godard

Best Goalie: _______________

As we've done with the first few installmens of the Sound Tigers All-Time Fantasy Team, the coaches' picks will be shown first, followed by the fan selection.

Assistant Coach Matt Bertani

Best Goalie: Rick DiPietro

"I think you've got to go with Rick DiPietro on this one. He had a couple of great seasons here, and he was the main goalie when this team made it to their only Calder Cup Finals."

Assistant Coach Pat Bingham

Best Goalie: Nathan Lawson

“I’m going to take Nathan Lawson. He may not be everyone’s first choice, but I’ve watched him battle every night for the last two years, and he was better than the other team’s goalie in almost every game”

Head Coach Jack Capuano

Best Goalie: Too Close to Call

"I think this is way too close...we've had alot of talented goalies here like Rick DiPietro and Wade Dubielewicz. They're different kinds of goalies, and each did great things for this team. The good thing is that usually I've got a couple on the bench and I can choose between them each night, instead of having to just go with one"

The Fan Vote

Best Goalie: Wade Dubielewicz

The fans have spoken, and voted Wade Dubielewicz as the best goalie in Sound Tigers history. Dubie played in 164 career games with the Sound Tigers, the most of any goalie in team history. His first year with the Sound Tigers was one of the best in the history of the AHL - Dubie went 20-8-5 with a goals against average of 1.38 and a .946 save percentage in the 2003-04 season, both of which stand today as AHL single-season records. He also won the Dudley (Red) Garrett Memorial Award, handed out to the top rookie in the league, and the Harry (Hap) Holmes Memorial Award, given to the goalie with the lowest goals against average in the league. Beyond his solid career numbers with the Sound Tigers, Dubie was truly a fan favorite and one of the most popular players in Sound Tigers history.
