NATHAN LAWSON LOANED FROM NEW YORK ISLANDERS
BRIDGEPORT, Conn (Oct. 19, 2010) - The Sound Tigers announced today that goaltender Nathan Lawson has been loaned from the N.Y. Islanders.
Lawson had been on injured reserve prior to his loan and did not appear in any games for the Islanders. The Calgary, ALTA native appeared in 36 games last season with the Sound Tigers, compiling a 16-16-3 record with a 2.52 goals against average and a .922 save percentage. Prior to his past two seasons with the Sound Tigers, Lawson played for the Utah Grizzlies and Phoenix Roadrunners of the ECHL. The 6-2, 191 lbs. netminder also played collegiate hockey at the University of Alaska-Anchorage.
Lawson joins the Sound Tigers five games into their 2010-11 10th Anniversary Season. They hit the road this weekend for games Friday night in Manchester and Saturday night in Portland.
