BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The New York Islanders announced today that they have recalled forward Justin DiBenedetto from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.

DiBenedetto earns his first career NHL call-up in his second professional season. The Maple, Ont. native has recorded a team-best 15 goals with the Sound Tigers this season, including 10 in his last 17 games. DiBenedetto heads to the Islanders where he could potentially make his NHL debut tomorrow night against the Washington Capitals.
