BRIDGEPORT, Conn (Feb. 9, 2012) – The Bridgeport Sound Tigers will be hosting a bowl-a-thon at AMF Milford Lanes in support of St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services on Wednesday, February 29th from 7:00-9:30 p.m.
The Sound Tigers and St. Vincent’s invite the community out for a night of laughs, food and fun at their first annual bowl-a-thon. Teams of up to five (5) members can register for one lane, and at least one member of the Sound Tigers will be on each lane to bowl with the participants.
“This event is a celebration of our relationship with St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services,” Bridgeport Sound Tigers President Howard Saffan said. “Our team has visited the children at the Feroleto Center and has skated with them on the Webster Bank Arena ice. We want the community and our fans to be a part of this great cause as well.”
Deborah Cox of St. Vincent’s Special Needs stated, “This is such a fun way to enjoy camaraderie and friendly competition among friends, businesses, and even colleges. It will be fun to watch departments competing against other departments, banks or real estate agencies playing against one another, and all with the fun of a Sound Tiger on your side. “
Check-in will begin at 7:00 p.m. and bowling will commence at 7:30 p.m. Food will be provided, with various Sound Tigers team signed items up for auction and all of the proceeds benefitting St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services.
