BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Aug. 17, 2012) – The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have officially released their regular season schedule for the upcoming 2012-13 season.
The Sound Tigers kick off their 2012-13 campaign and begin defense of their Northeast Division title on Friday, Oct. 12 in Hartford against their in-state rival, the Connecticut Whale. New head coach Scott Pellerin and the Sound Tigers will make their Webster Bank Arena debut the following evening, Saturday, Oct. 13 against the Providence Bruins.

“Cool Fun 101”, the Sound Tigers annual school-day game which emphasizes the importance of education and its relationship with the game of hockey, will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 11:00 a.m. against the defending Calder Cup Champion Norfolk Admirals.
The Sound Tigers will host their annual post Thanksgiving and Christmas contests against the Whale on Friday, Nov. 23 and Wednesday, Dec. 26, and will face their in-state rivals a total of 10 times in the 2012-13 season.
The Sound Tigers will make a trip to Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. on Sunday, Jan. 13 to face the Albany Devils. For the second straight season, the Sound Tigers will host eight games in February, the most home games at Webster Bank Arena in any month this season.
March will be the Sound Tigers busiest month with 14 games scheduled in a 30-day span. 10 of those 14 contests will be against Northeast Division opponents, including a St. Patrick’s Day matinee contest against Albany.
The Sound Tigers will host their second school-day game, “Spring Fun 102”, on Thursday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m. against the Worcester Sharks. The Sound Tigers will close out the 2012-13 regular season at home against the Portland Pirates on Sunday, April 21 at 3:00 p.m.
The bulk of the Sound Tigers home schedule will be played on weekends, with 29 of 38 home games scheduled for Saturday nights or Sunday afternoons.
