BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Oct. 6, 2012) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today they have assigned goaltender Kenny Reiter to the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL.

Reiter, 25, dressed as the Sound Tigers backup goaltender in both of their preseason contests. The Pittsburgh, PA native appeared in one game last season with the Sound Tigers after joining the team on an amateur tryout contract, making 26 saves in a 3-2 loss to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on April 14. Prior to turning pro, Reiter spent three seasons at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and led the Bulldogs to the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship during the 2010-11 season.

The Sound Tigers training roster now consists of 26 players, comprised of 16 forwards, eight defenseman and two goaltenders.

The Sound Tigers begin their 2012-13 regular season in Hartford against the Connecticut Whale on Friday, Oct. 12 and open their home schedule on Saturday, Oct. 13 against the Providence Bruins at 7:00 p.m. For information on full or partial season ticket plans, call the Sound Tigers at (203) 334-GOAL or e-mail info@soundtigers.com.
