SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 8TH - DEVILS 3, SOUND TIGERS 0

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers lost to the Albany Devils Friday night by a final score of 3-0. Stefan Matteau, Chris McKelvie and Kelly Zajac had the goals for Albany, while the Sound Tigers were unable to beat a combination of Keith Kincaid and Scott Wedgewood on 28 shots on goal. The loss dropped the Sound Tigers to 19-24-1-4 on the season.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 9TH – SOUND TIGERS 5, PHANTOMS 4

The Sound Tigers scored two goals in the opening minute of the third period Sunday and defeated the Adirondack Phantoms by a final score of 5-4. John Persson scored two goals while Ryan Strome, Mike Halmo and Matt Donovan all chipped in with one of their own. Anders Nilsson saw 31 shots and stopped 27 of them for his seventh win of the season.The Sound Tigers have defeated the Phantoms in all three games the two teams have played

The Sound Tigers have won six out of their last eight games and, following the all-star break, will play two more times this weekend. That will be followed by a three-in-three weekend the following week, which includes a trip to Philadelphia to play the Adirondack Phantoms at Wells Fargo Center.
