The Sound Tigers will host their second annual You Can Play Day presented by World Health Clinicians on Sunday, March 2 when the team hosts the Utica Comets at 3 p.m. The Sound Tigers and the You Can Play Project have worked and will continue to work in conjunction to combat homophobia in all sports.
The festivities include a pre-game panel discussion featuring LGBT coaches and athletes. The discussion will begin at 1 p.m., one hour before the doors open for the Sound Tigers game. All fans with tickets to Sunday's game are welcome to attend. The discussion will feature former University of Pennsylvania hockey player David Farber, Staples High School (Westport, Conn.) boys soccer coach Dan Woog and Saunders High School (Yonkers, N.Y.) boys basketball coach Anthony Nicodemo.
