The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that forward Joey Martin has been released from his professional tryout contract (PTO).

Martin signed his PTO with the Sound Tigers on Feb. 26. In nine American Hockey League games, Martin collected four points (two goals, two assists). He will be returned to the Stockton Thunder (ECHL), where he was the leading scorer before signing his tryout contract. In 52 games with Stockton, Martin picked up 51 points (16 goals, 35 assists).
