First Responders


The Bridgeport Sound Tigers will host First Responders Day presented by the Connecticut Better Business Bureau on Sunday, April 6th, prior to the team’s game against the Hershey Bears. The event will also include a weekend-long hockey tournament featuring 12 hockey teams comprised of First Responders throughout the Tri-State Area. A portion of the proceeds from the tickets purchased by the First Responders teams for Sunday’s Sound Tigers game will be donated to the Save the Children Fund.

The 12 teams are broken up into four groups of three, with each team playing the other two in their group either Friday, April 4th or Saturday, April 5th. Each group winner will play a semifinal game with the winners of the semifinal game to meet in the championship, which will be held prior to the Sound Tigers game against Hershey on Sunday. Anyone with a valid ticket to the Sound Tigers game on Sunday will be able to attend all games in the First Responders Tournament free of charge. The groups for the tournament are as follows:
