BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Oct. 25, 2012) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today they have recalled goaltender Kenny Reiter from the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL.

Reiter, 25, earns his first AHL stint of the season after being assigned to Fort Wayne prior to the start of the 2012-13 campaign. The Pittsburgh, PA native currently leads the ECHL with a .973 save percentage and a 0.83 goals against average, and boasts a 1-0-1 record with the Komets over the course of three games. Reiter made his pro debut with the Sound Tigers last season, making 26 saves in a 3-2 loss at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Apr. 14, 2012.

Prior to turning pro, Reiter spent three seasons at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and led the Bulldogs to the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship during the 2010-11 season.

The Sound Tigers return to action this weekend with three road contests before returning to Webster Bank Arena for home games against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Hershey on Nov. 3 and 4.
