Season series (0-1-0-0)

This is the second of four meetings between the Sound Tigers and Pirates this season. The only other time the two teams played was on New Year's Eve in Lewiston, when Portland skated to a 4-2 win. Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Anders Lee scored for the Sound Tigers, but a major penalty to Marc Cantin led to two power-play goals for Portland, who added an empty-netter late for the 4-2 win.

Pirates player to watch
Andy Miele- Center

Andy Miele has been on a tear for the Pirates this season. He currently leads the team in all offensive categories (15 goals, 16 assists, 31 points) and garnered a CCM/AHL Player of the Week award in late December. He was undrafted out of Miami University, but has played a total of 11 games with the Phoenix Coyotes over parts of three seasons.
