Sound Tigers To Face Wolf Pack in Preseason Slate
The Bridgeport Sound Tigers, proud AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, announced today the club will face its in-state rival, the Hartford Wolf Pack, in a pair of preseason games next month.
The exhibition calendar begins Thursday, Sept. 28 when the Sound Tigers travel to Trinity College's Koeppel Community Sports Center, located at 175 New Britain Ave. in Hartford, for a 7 p.m. puck drop. The game is open to the public with donations benefitting the Ryan Gordon/Hartford Wolf Pack Community Scholars Fund being accepted at the door in lieu of an admission charge.
Bridgeport and Hartford will conclude their preseason slates on Saturday, Sept. 30 with a 7 p.m. rematch at the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center in Worcester, Mass., the home practice facility of the Sound Tigers' ECHL affiliate, the Worcester Railers. Ticket information will be available at a later date and fans are encouraged to visit Railershc.com for updates. The Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center is located at 104 Harding St. in Worcester.
The Sound Tigers will open their 17th season in the American Hockey League on Saturday, Oct. 7 with a road matchup against the Binghamton Devils. Bridgeport's home opener is set for Saturday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. against the Laval Rocket.
