GRIZZLIES REPORT

The New Islanders have numerous prospects scattered throughout the world. The Sound Tigers are the primary affiliate of the Islanders but many of the prospects are currently playing with the organization's ECHL affiliate, the Utah Grizzlies. Players from last season's team such as Jason Pitton and Michael Mole are currently with the Grizzlies along with other prospects such as Martin Frechette, Trevor Haskins and Justin Bourne. Below is a synopsis of the start of the Grizzlies season and how certain prospects have been performing this season.

NEWS & NOTES

Trending Up: The Grizzlies have won four of their last five games, scoring 26 goals during that span.

Longest Home Stretch Of Year: After playing 11 of their first 17 games of the year on the road, the Grizzlies are now home for ten-straight games at the E-Center.

Hottest Player In ECHL: 
Over the last five games, Utah rookie forward Keith Johnson has eight goals and three assists. Eight goals since November 16, leads the entire ECHL during that time. He is tied with Yannick Tifu of Dayton for the league’s scoring lead over that time. Keith is the brother of current Sound Tigers' forward, Gregg Johnson.

Olivier Labelle: Four goals and five assists during current six-game scoring streak. 

Michael Haley: Six goals and two assists during last six games. 

Tyler Haskins: One goal and eight assists during current four-game scoring streak. 

Scott Burt: One goal and five assists during current five-game scoring streak. 

Trevor Smith: Three goals and four assists during last five games. 

Andy Sertich: Two goals and four assists during last six games.

Hot In Goal: 
 Mike Mole is currently 7-4 on the year for Utah. Nathan Lawson, signed to a contract Friday, after being claimed off of waivers from Phoenix, stopped 35 of 37 shots in his Utah debut Monday in the team's 7-2 win over Fresno. He is currently 4-2 overall versus the ECHL this season.

On E-Center Ice: 
 The Grizzlies are currently 4-2 this season at the E-Center, with both losses coming by one goal to the West Division leading Victoria Salmon Kings.

First Period Scoring: 
The Grizzlies have scored 12 first period goals in their last five games (4-1-0-0).

Seven or More Goals: 
 Utah has scored seven or more goals in four of their last 11 contests. Three of those four games have been played on the road.

November 2 at Las Vegas 8-5 win

November 9 vs. Victoria, 7-1 win

November 24 at Stockton, 8-3 win

November 26 at Fresno, 7-2 win
