The night of streaks continued for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers against their East Division rivals, the Norfolk Admirals tonight in the team's 3-0 victory. The win gives the Sound Tigers and their goaltender, Mike Morrison, three straight wins, the longest streak of the season.

The Sound Tigers bombarded Admirals' goaltender, Jonathan Boutin with 15 shots in the first period but could not crack the scoreless tie.

Tambellini ShotIn the second period, Boutin misplayed the puck on a dump in behind his own goal and Sound Tigers' forward Ben Walter was able to collect his ninth goal of the season just 53 seconds into the period. Darryl Bootland played the puck behind the Admirals' goal where Boutin came out to stop the puck and move it around the boards. Walter intercepted Boutin's clearing attempt and wrapped the puck in the far side before the Norfolk goalie could return to his net, giving the Sound Tigers the 1-0 lead. Nearly 30 seconds later, the Admirals looked to have their opportunity to even the score when Sound Tigers' defenseman, Scott Ford took a hooking penalty. Instead, Sound Tigers' leading scorer, Jeff Tambellini would double his team's lead to 2-0 with his 12th goal of the season. Jamie Fraser hit Tambellini with a breakout pass and Tambellini streaked down the near boards and snapped a shot over Boutin's glove, off the far post and into the net for his third short-handed goal of the season, one behind the team record of four, set by Sean Bergenheim. Dustin Kohn added the second assist on the goal. Jamie Fraser gave the Sound Tigers the 3-0 lead at 14:47 with his fourth goal of the season. Tambellini was cycling the puck in the far corner and fed a pass to Frans Nielsen in the right circle. Fraser crept in from his point position and received a pass from Nielsen with space to pinch into the zone. In almost an identical shot as Tambellini's earlier in the period, Fraser snapped the puck over Boutin's glove for the Sound Tigers' third goal of the game.

Morrison carried the weight in the third period making seven saves for a game total of 22, earning his second shutout of the season. Boutin who was peppered in the opening period finished the game with 24 saves on 27 shots. The Sound Tigers went 0-5 on their power-play and 5-5 on the penalty-kill scoring their fifth short-handed goal of the season.

Friday, the Sound Tigers will travel up I-95 to Hartford to take on their rivals, the Wolf Pack, game-time is scheduled for 7 p.m. The Sound Tigers will return home for their final game before the Christmas holiday on Saturday when the Manchester Monarchs make their only visit to Arena at Harbor Yard this season. The game will also start at 7 p.m.

3 Stars:

1. Jamie Fraser - A goal and an assist
2. Mike Morrison - 22 saves earning his second shutout of the season
3. Jeff Tambellini - Short-handed goal and an assist
Honorable Mention: Ben Walter - Scored the team's first goal and won a lot of face-offs

Frisbee TossGame Operations: The Game-Ops crew had two fun intermissions. In the first fans participated in a half ice shot and in the second, the Frisbees were flying. Three girls took their best shot at flinging the Frisbee in the goal. After numerous attempts, we finally had a winner.

No More, Mr Nice Guy: After hearing his roommate Ben Walter had taken a penalty making him the only player on the team without a penalty minute, Fraser took a hooking penalty just over four minutes into the game.

The Streaks Continue: The Sound Tigers extended numerous streaks tonight. The list is:
- Jeff Tambellini extended his goal scoring streak to three games (5 goals)
- Ben Walter extended his point scoring streak to three games (2 goals and 2 assists)
- Frans Nielsen is on a three game assist streak (4 assists)
- Mike Morrison and the Sound Tigers are on on a three game winning streak
- The Sound Tigers have not allowed the Admirals to score a single goal in each of the team's three games at Arena at Harbor Yard. Joey MacDonald shut Norfolk out on the team's home-opener and Morrison has blanked the Admirals the last two times.
