The Sound Tigers have released their 2008-09 promotional schedule, which includes a combination of 13 special events and numerous giveaway nights.
 
The promotional schedule starts with the magnetic calendar giveaway on opening night when the Sound Tigers take on the Albany River Rats on Oct. 18.  Every fan that enters the building will receive one magnetic schedule. The schedule ends on Apr. 11 for the team’s final home game against the Lowell Devils where all fans will take home a team poster.
 
Other highlights include three Kids Days throughout the season, the Salute to Armed Forces Day, honoring the heroic men and women fighting for our country's freedom and the Youth Hockey Shootout, which involves youth hockey players from around the area to compete in a shootout during both the first and second intermissions.  Last season’s shootout involved over 500 youth hockey players with four shooters and four goalies winning the title of Youth Hockey Shootout Champions. 
 
The giveaway nights include a Sound Tigers’ Cap Night, three hockey card giveaways and this season’s bobble-head doll featuring team leading scorer last season, Jeff Tambellini.
