Training camp began today at The Rinks at Shelton for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Players with the hopes of wearing the Sound Tiger blue and orange, stepped onto the ice this morning for their first on-ice session led by first year head coach Jack Capuano and his assistants, Pat Bingham and Bernie Cassell. Fans are welcome to attend the on-ice practice sessions, free of charge.

The Sound Tigers will play their first preseason game on Wednesday, Sept. 26, when they take on their Connecticut rivals, the Hartford Wolf Pack. The puck will drop at 7 p.m. at the Terry Connors Rink in Stamford, CT. Proceeds from the game will go towards the Stamford Youth Hockey Organization.

The second preseason game will take place at the Sound Tigers official practice facility, The Rinks at Shelton, on Friday, Sept. 28, when the Sound Tigers face-off against the Providence Bruins at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the game will benefit the Greater Bridgeport Youth Hockey Association.

The Sound Tigers will also play two road preseason games. On Saturday, Sept. 29, the Sound Tigers will travel to Lowell, MA to take on the Lowell Devils at the Paul E. Tsongas Arena at 6 p.m. The Sound Tigers will travel north to Cromwell, CT to play against the Hartford Wolf Pack at 5 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 30.
