BUSINESS NETWORKING INTERNATIONAL EVENT A SPLASH

Oct 22, 2007

The rain came down in buckets last Friday night before the Sound Tigers' home game against the Hershey Bears, but it did not keep the people away. Over 500 BNI and Chamber of Commerce members from all over the state of Connecticut attended the Sound Tigers 2nd annual Networking Night before watching the home team's 4-2 victory over the Bears.

Business Networking International Event"Networking is a major part of what we do to create relationships with potential customers," Sound Tigers' account executive and main contact for the event, Tom Puccini said. "We had a lot of positive feedback from different members who gained referrals and were asking at the end of the event when we're hosting the next one."

The event, sponsored by FindItInCT.com, not only blossomed relationships, but also increased sales that very night for several companies. State Auto Sales, the official automotive partner of the Sound Tigers, sold four new cars that night. Shaklee Environmental brought some of their "Go Green" household and food products and sold most of them.

Coastal ChordsmenSeveral members of the Trumbull BNI group actually took part in the game operations of the Sound Tigers' first intermission. The "Coastal Chordsmen," an a-cappella group, sung God Bless America in perfect harmony.

"BNI and Chamber groups have numerous meetings each month to discuss different sales initiatives and to help each other grow," Sound Tigers account executive and another main contact for the event, Cian Stein said. "The main purpose here was to expand the reaches of each group to the whole state beyond the smaller meetings that happen in the local areas. Harbor Yard is the perfect location to do that and there was no better way to compliment the evening than an entertaining win by the home team."

If you are interested in participating in the Sound Tigers' next BNI event before their game on Wednesday, Jan. 23 against the Albany River Rats, please contact the office at 203-334-GOAL (4625).
