The all-new weekly podcast hosted by Sound Tigers play-by-play broadcaster Alan Fuehring, "Sound Up" takes an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look inside the minds of a current player and front office member for the New York Islanders' American Hockey League affiliate.
Each podcast drops on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. ET on the team's official Facebook, Twitter and SoundCloud accounts. Episode 1 features a conversation with team captain Kyle Burroughs and President of Business Operations Brent Rossi as they both patiently quarantine at home during the coronavirus pandemic.
Burroughs initially joined the Sound Tigers late in the 2013-14 season and played nine games prior to returning to the Western Hockey League (WHL). He rejoined the club in 2015 and has amassed 82 points (17g, 65a) in 313 career AHL games from the blue line. He served as the club's full-time captain for the first time this season.
Rossi came to the Sound Tigers on Oct. 1, 2019 after leaving Pegula Sports and Entertainment (PSE), which manages the business operations for properties such as the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits and Rochester Americans. He served as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy and led all marketing functions at PSE for the past five years. In April 2018, Rossi was selected to Sports Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” list for his success in business and innovation.
